HealthPay Coin (HPC) is a digital currency designed to address two major weaknesses of the American healthcare system. One is the lack of trust from consumers as to the true cost associated with a medical service at the point of transaction. The other is the physician’s ability to receive more-timely payments for those services.
HPC greatly streamlines this process. It uses blockchain contract verification and tracking to simplify medical service transactions. This includes cost-sharing responsibilities of all parties associated with the service, down to the consumer level.
HPC provides multiple benefits to consumers, primary providers/health systems and secondary medical services tied to diagnosis. Furthermore, procedure cost tracking and consumer behavior metrics using HIPPA-compliant data sets can also be derived from its use to help medical systems enhance consumer and patient services.
